Ratcliff Youth and Family Services (RYFS) is incorporated in the state of Texas as a tax-exempt (501) (c) (3) organization. Established in 2002, RYFS has provided services to individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities since 2004. Services are provided according to Texas Administrative Code guidelines that govern The Department of Aging and Disability Services to persons with Developmental or Intellectual Disabilities.
Our philosophy emphasizes teaching and training of each individual served to improve their independent functioning. The RYFS mission is to provide each person served with the following:
Assurance that each individual’s humanity and dignity is respected;
Assurance that the individual’s rights or the rights as exercised by the legally authorized representative (LAR) on behalf of the individual are protected;
Assurance that the individual or the individual’s LAR, and family members, with the consent of the individual or the individual’s LAR, participates in making choices about where the individual will live, attend school, work, and take part in leisure activities.
Participation in RYFS programs allows a person with an IDD to receive individualized services and supports so that they may live actively in the community.
